Mythical King Arthur was real and Scottish says academic!

A historian from Spain has claimed that King Arthur was real – and that he lived in the Scottish borders.

Dr Andrew Breeze, of the University of Navarre, has based his findings on a ninth-century text called The History of the Britons, and claims that Arthur was a general or chieftain who was killed at Castlesteads, on Hadrian’s Wall, in 537 AD. Other academics have questioned the theory, which contradicts more common theories that see Arthur as a Roman cavalry leader in Wales or Southwest England. Read more: independent.co.uk
