Mumbai Central station to get free Wi-Fi in time for Diwali
Mumbai’s Central station will be the first station in India with free Wi-Fi.
During a state visit to the US, the prime minister revealed that the Indian government has signed a deal with Google to install Wi-Fi hubs at 500 train stations across India, with the first stage to be rolled out in Mumbai. Details are only just emerging, but reports suggest there will be a time limit for free use of the service, and connections will be up and running by November, in time for Diwali.
