Monk's dreams lead to discovery of ancient Buddha head
A large head detached from a Buddha statue and believed to be over 300 years old has been unearthed from a pond inside a temple in Suphan Buri, central Thailand.
Phra Varavut Thitmetho, the abbot of Wat Don Pru in Don Pru district, reportedly hired a backhoe to dig for the object after he dreamed about it nine times. Nearby residents have reportedly flocked to the temple to pay homage to the newly discovered antiquity, measuring 65cm in circumference and 40cm high, and made of golden-coloured metal.
