McDonalds 'opening soon' in the outback?
A prankster has puts McDonalds ‘opening soon’ sign 200kms into the world’s largest sand dune desert in outback Australia.
Midway along the Simpson Desert track a large sign has been erected atop a sand dune which can be seen for kilometres in every direction promising a McDonald’s is coming. The sign has nothing to do with the McDonald’s fast food chain and some travellers have complained that it is an eyesore and not in keeping with the cultural values of the national park. The South Australian Environment Minister Ian Hunter said his department would investigate the sign and its removal. Read more: thenewdaily.com.au
