‘Maze Runner’ cast criticised for theft of Native American artefacts

On a recent television interview, Maze Runner star Dylan O’Brien admitted to taking Native American artefacts from a film set near Placitas, New Mexico.

O’Brien did not elaborate on what was taken. In response, a 19-year-old fan of the Maze Runner series has started an online petition asking the actors and crew to apologize for the theft. ‘It would make a good statement about how to treat other people, including Native Americans, and stress that someone’s culture isn’t a joke,’ she told the Santa Fe New Mexican. So far the petition has received 22k signatures. Read more: santafenewmexican.com
