Massive oil spill one of Israel’s ‘worst environmental disasters’

Million of litres of oil have flooded Israel’s  Evrona nature reserve, causing what is being called one of the worst environmental disasters the country has ever seen. A ruptured pipeline caused the spill, which has caused huge damage in the area which is known for its deer population and douma palms. Three people have been hospitalised from inhaling fumes and the nearby road to Red Sea resort Eilat has been closed. Read more:
