Manatee invasion closes popular Florida recreation spot

Florida’s Three Sisters Springs is usually a popular spot for recreational kayaking and swimming, but it was closed off by park officials this week after a swarm of over 300 manatees made their home in the springs. The park was closed to ensure the Manatees' safety. Manatees are a common sight at the springs during winter as the sea mammals take shelter in the warm waters when the open ocean gets too cold.
