Man dies on flight to Ireland after violent seizure

A man has died on a flight from Portugal to Ireland. The 24-year-old Brazilian was travelling from Lisbon to Dublin on Sunday when he suffered a violent seizure.

The Aer Lingus flight, which was carrying around 170 people, was diverted to Cork. The man bit another passenger before losing consciousness. A woman on the flight who is believed to have been travelling with the man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after 2kg of a powdered substance were found in her luggage. A post-mortem will be carried out on Monday. Read more: irishtimes.com
