Man claims flesh-eating spider bit him on flight

A British man is threatening to sue Qatar Airways after saying he was bitten by a venomous spider on board a flight between Doha and Cape Town.

Jonathan Hogg says he felt a small, sharp pain when the flesh-eating brown recluse spider bit him, and hours later his leg was ‘bursting open.’ Doctors had to cut away a large part of his leg leaving a wound that resembled ’something from a horror film.’ Mr Hogg has said he will sue the airline.
