Love is in the air thanks to new app for crews looking for romance
Love is in the air thanks to a new app that brings pilots and flight attendants together.
Airline crews looking for love in the skies now have a brand new dating app looking to bring people on layovers in foreign places together.
CrewMe is the brainchild of pilot Maxence Boussier and although it is only in existence for a week, it has had hundreds of downloads since its launch.
The MailOnline reports that the dating service allows crews to network with each other any here across the globe. The pilot came up with the idea after realising that there was a desire for airline workers in different carriers to get in touch.
It aims to help those who would otherwise be alone between flights by giving them the facility to meet and go out to explore foreign cities. It also allows them to meet with people from other airlines.
The app works by using GPS locators to select people who are nearby from various airlines. It is up to the user to either swipe in or swipe out at that stage.
The device is free to download but so far is only available on Apple products although plans are afoot to release it on Android before the end of the year.
There is also an upgraded paid version for US$3.99 which tells you when your profile is liked by someone else.
