Las Vegas airport gets power boost for tech convention

In preparation for a massive upcoming electronics tradeshow in Las Vegas, McCarran International Airport will upgrade Terminal 1 with several thousand outlets and USB charging ports for weary and power-hungry travelers looking for a charge before heading home. The $400,000 upgrade comes in advance of Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the biggest technology tradeshows in the world, which drew 160,000 people to Las Vegas last year. Officials have also doubled the bandwidth of the airport’s wi-fi to accommodate the more than 3 million passengers that pass through the airport each month. Read more:
