Killer whales sighted off Abu Dhabi coast

Two killer whales, one at least 7m long, have been sighted in Abu Dhabi’s waters. They were spotted by government maritime inspector Ahmed Al Qemzi near Ras Ghurab island, who stopped his boat when he heard a large creature in the water near him. He managed to take some video footage of the predators, a male and a female. Killer whales, or Orcas are a rare sight locally.
