Kilimanjaro record: ability activist becomes first female quadriplegic to reach summit
Ability activist Chaeli Mycroft became the first female quadriplegic to summit Kilimanjaro.
The 21-year-old watched the sunrise on Thursday from Gilman’s Point, and reached Uhuru Peak a couple of hours later. Sporadic GPS data meant confirmation of the climb was not received until early in the afternoon. Chaeli and her team started the epic adventure on 27 August.
