India’s ‘luxury airline’ drops fares in price war

Vistara cuts fares to keep up with the likes of Air India and Jet Airways.

Vistara, the luxury airline launched by the Tata company and Singapore Airlines in India is aggressively cutting fares in response to a price war by rivals Jet Airways and Air India. Some fares have fallen by nearly 50%, but the airline has not yet gone so far as to undercut its ‘non-luxury’ rivals. Vistara currently offers flights between Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
