Indian pilots threaten to end flights to Ladakh

India’s leading pilots’ union has asked its members to cease flying to Ladkah after concerns that airlines were asking pilots to land at the airport in dangerous weather conditions.

Leh’s Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport is one of the highest airports in the world, and it is regarded as the most dangerous airport in India because of the risks associated with flying into the mountain-circled Indus Valley. According to reports, Air India and other carriers were asking pilots to land at the airport in low visibility, despite the fact that the airport can only accommodate visual landings. Read more:
