India and Nepal to get direct bus services

Following the successful visit to Nepal by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, India and Nepal have agreed to allow direct bus services between Kathmandu and Delhi, Kathmandu and Varanasi and Pokhara and Delhi. ‘Direct’ buses have been advertised in India and Nepal for years, but travellers have been forced to change buses at the border, often staying in dire accommodation for the night before resuming the journey.
