Icelandic national park set to become stargazing centre for tourists and scientists
Þingvellir National Park has emerged as the most likely destination for the Icelandic Stargazing Center.
The centre will feature two or three telescopes and will operate both as a scientific institution and as a tourist attraction. The project would also see Þingvellir – a dramatic national park that was home to the world’s first democratic parliament – apply for Dark Sky Park status. Read more: icelandreview.com
