Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell recently unveiled plans to upgrade a popular beach on the island of O‘ahu.
In an announcement on Wednesday, the mayor pledged to improve Ala Moana Beach Park after soliciting ideas from the community. The 81-year-old beach began showing its age in cracked pathways and overgrown plants, which will be fixed in the coming years. The mayor’s plans also include upgrading bathrooms, installing irrigation systems and building a playground. Read more: kitv.com
