Not quite like picking up after your dog: hikers in Norway to collect bear poo

A wildlife agency in Norway has launched a campaign asking hikers to collect bear hair and excrement as part of a study into the brown bear population in the country.

While Norwegian Nature Surveillance (NNS) will be collecting most of the samples, the agency says that hikers can help to boost the volume of data available on the brown bears, which are an endangered species in Norway. Read more: thelocal.no
