Halloween cancelled in Cadiz as bishop deems festival 'satanic'

The Bishop of Cádiz cancelled Halloween this weekend for religious organisations across the Andalucian city, branding the holiday a ‘satanic festival’.

Locals were forced to cancel Halloween events for children and trick-or-treat outings were banned. The bishop claimed that the popular event was ‘the most important day of the year for followers of satan’ and fans of the occult, and said he believed religious people should not participate.
