Ha Long Bay will see a reduction in the number of tourist ships that operate in its waters, according to Nguyen Duc Long, chairman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee.
The bay, which sees around 530 different types of tourists ship operate in the area at present, has become overcrowded and issues around safety and quality control have been thrown into light. After a meeting on Tuesday a move has been made to investigate the quality of ships operating in the bay and to reduce the amount to alleviate excess traffic.
