Gorilla permits reduced from US$600 to US$350

Officials in Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park have reduced permit fees for gorilla encounters to US$350 until the end of June. Fees for East African Community citizens has also dropped, from USh250,000 to USh150,000. Mgahinga has hosted the 'Nyakagezi' mountain gorilla family for the past couple of years – it consists of two females, a two-year-old baby named Mutagamba and five silverbacks.
