Game of Thrones’ Dark Hedges in white line drama
An iconic stretch of road in County Antrim, Northern Ireland has been mistakenly painted with white lines.
The Dark Hedges, a tunnel of 200-year-old beech trees on the Bregagh Road, is one of Northern Ireland’s most distinctive landmarks and stood in for the Kingsroad in HBO’s Game of Thrones. The road markings were painted on accidentally by a contractor and will be removed. The news comes after Storm Gertrude ripped up two of the famous trees in January.
