French Riviera row deepens over Saudi royal stay
More details have emerged about a dispute over the Saudi royal family’s holiday on the French Riviera.
Locals were already angry that a stretch of public beach was to be closed, and a lift was to be built to it direct from the family’s villa. Mayor Michelle Salucki has said she is also unhappy about plans to build a staircase with a pontoon and wooden walkway on Mirandole beach, allegedly designed so that King Salman’s feet never have to touch the sand.
