A church in Madrid’s Chueca neighbourhood has propelled itself into the 21st century with a raft of technological enhancements, as well as plans to host Sunday mass in English for tourists and expat Madrid residents. Visitors to the San Anton church will be greeted by signs advertising free Wi-Fi, iPads and widescreen TVs broadcasting live streams from Rome. The modern touches have been introduced to make the church more welcoming and try to bring people back to Roman Catholicism. A recent high-profile study found that half of Spaniards claimed not to be religious. Read more:
