Former public toilet on sale in London for £1m
An underground 60 ft space in London’s fashionable Spitalfields that was once a public toilet has gone on the market for £1 million.
The establishment, which is marketed as a “charming and quirky premises”, was a toilet until the early 2000s when it was turned into a nightclub called Public Life. That venue closed in 2012 after complaints from local residents. It’s located on the edge of Spitalfields Market, and in front of Christ Church, a historic church built by Nicholas Hawksmoor.
