Former Bucharest residence of Romania's communist dictator opens to the public
The former residence of Romania’s communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu will open to public as a museum this weekend.
Known as the Spring Palace (Palatul Primaverii) and located in Bucharest, it was built in the 1960s. It has 80 rooms and is said to be decorated in a neoclassical style with kitsch details such as gold toilet-roll holders. Visits are only possible by tour booked a day in advance.
