Florida family finds million dollar shipwrecked gold

A family of four has discovered over $1 million worth of gold artifacts on the ocean floor off the coast of Fort Pierce, Florida .

The haul was uncovered at the site of a shipwreck dating from 1715 when eleven galleons en route to Spain were lost in a hurricane. The discovery includes 51 gold coins, around 40ft of gold chain and a rare coin called a Royal that was to be given to the king of Spain. Read more: nytimes.com
