Florence’s Basilica di Santa Croce runs Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for restoration

The organisation that looks after Florence’s Basilica di Santa Croce has initiated a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to restore the basilica’s Pazzi Chapel, which was designed by Renaissance-great Filippo Brunelleschi. The campaign runs until 19 December and is aiming to raise US$95,000 towards the restoration of the chapel, which is crumbling away over time due to the soft sandstone used to make it.
