The massive storm affecting Northern California on Thursday has led to transport difficulties across the region, including dozens of cancelled flights at San Francisco Airport. The “Pineapple Express”, as this type of weather front is known, will be the worst storm in five years in the area and authorities are warning that damaging rain and winds could cause landslides, flooding and other problems before the storm passes.
