First official half marathon a success in Tbilisi

Around 3000 runners took to the streets in Tbilisi, Georgia, on Sunday to take part in a half marathon, which saw runners pass major sights in the city including Kashveti church and the National Museum of Georgia.

Although the event has been held annually since 2012, this is the first year that the race received official recognition by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, making it the first official marathon in the Caucasus. Read more: agenda.ge
