First day of winter should see snow fall in Iceland
Winter is coming to Iceland – the season officially starts on Saturday in the North Atlantic nation.

The old Icelandic calendar splits the years into just two seasons, vetur (winter) and sumar (summer). And the weather is behaving as expected: there will be frost in most parts of the country, with snow in the north and clear skies in the south, and road conditions beginning to deteriorate.
