Fireworks world record goes off with a bang in Norway

The small town of Søgne in southern Norway has set a new Guinness World Record for the biggest ever fireworks display. The feat, which involved 540,382 fireworks in a 20 minute display, took place on Saturday and Guinness officials confirmed that the town had successfully beaten the previous record held by Dubai. A crowd of 15,000 spectators gathered to watch history in the making, which coincided with the Christmas lights being turned on the town. Read more:
