Faulty coffee maker sparks emergency landing in Greenland

An SAS flight en route from Stockholm to Chicago was forced to make an emergency landing in Greenland on Monday when it was suspected that a coffee maker on board short circuited, causing a smell of smoke in the cabin.

A spokesperson from the airline confirmed the incident, saying that none of the 146 passengers or crew on board the aircraft was injured and the landing was 'normal and undramatic'. Passengers praised the professionalism of the crew, who maintained calm throughout. The flight was rescheduled to resume its journey on Tuesday. Read more: thelocal.se
