Famous Tsukiji fish market relocation date announced

Officials in Tokyo have announced that the city’s famous Tsukiji fish market will move to its new site further south in the Toyosu area by November 2016. The decision to relocate Tsukiji was made more than a decade ago but the date of the move had not been known until now. Some connected with the market have expressed concern at the timing of the move, which coincides with the busiest season. Read more: ajw.asahi.com
