Everest trek trails get the all-clear after earthquakes
Trails in the Everest region of Nepal have been given the all-clear following a survey by earthquake engineers Miyamoto International.
The much-anticipated survey found that damage was limited mostly to villages in the lower-altitude parts of Solukhumbu and that most of the trails survived without serious structural damage. The report will come as good news to trekkers, who visit the Everest region in their thousands in the trekking season from October to December and February to April. Read more: myrepublica.com
