Eurostar disruptions as migrants climb on rail tracks

Six Eurostar trains travelling in the Channel Tunnel in both directions were blocked overnight as migrants climbed onto the tracks near the port of Calais.

Hundreds of passengers were stranded in Calais while trains bound for Paris and London were sent back to their origin destination. Passengers stranded in Calais were to be sent to London on Wednesday morning on a ‘rescue train’. Eurostar have said that trains will be operating as normal on Wednesday though there are reports of train cancellations already. Read more:
