Egyptian football league suspended indefinitely after stadium deaths

Clashes between police and football supporters at a Cairo stadium have left at least 22 people dead. Many were crushed in a stampede after Zamalak fans tried to access the stadium, and police fired tear gas at the crowd. The match went ahead in spite of the violence, but the Egyptian Premier League has now been postponed indefinitely. Read
