Eastern Europe triumphs at Festival Awards

Hungary’s famous Sziget Festival, which takes place on Budapest’s Óbuda Island on the Danube, won the Best Major Festival award at the European Festival Awards 2014. While Montenegro’s Sea Dance Festival won the award for Best Medium-Sized Festival, it was organised for the first time in 2014 by the team behind Serbia’s Exit, on Budva’s Jaz Beach on the Adriatic coast. The Best Small Festival award went to Poland’s Tauron Nowa Muzyka, which takes place in Katowice. The awards ceremony was held on the 14th of  January in Groningen, Holland.
