Dublin hotelier reveals Germans' ‘Travel Review Threat’

A Dublin hotel manager has coined the term ‘Travel Review Threat’ to describe customers who threaten to post negative reviews in the hope of getting a discount. Paul Stenson, manager of the Charleville Lodge Hotel, said two German visitors had complained about ‘a small amount of dust’ on a lampshade and a headboard that ‘wasn’t entirely horizontal’, before taking pictures of problems with the room. Stenson subsequently posted his side of the story on the hotel’s Facebook page. Read more: independent.ie
