The dining-with-dogs law is popular among animal lovers, although NYC mayor Bill de Blasio was opposed to the change in the law, citing health reasons. Restaurant owners will now have the ability to decide if they want to allow dogs in the outdoor areas of their establishments, so check with the restaurant for their pet policy before bringing your dog to dinner.
