Documentary follows an Indian tea-seller who travels the world

A couple of Indian tea-sellers have become famous for their inspiring globe-trotting. Vijayan and Mohana have sold tea in the Indian city of Kochi, Kerala for over 40 years. But Vijayan always dreamed of travelling the world and seeing exotic places. A new documentary shows how the couple’s desire to travel and their single-minded determination led them to save up and take out loans in order to visit over 17 countries.

On their return from distant travels they always go back to selling tea and snacks at their stand in Kochi, even if  they have become something of a sensation in India, where a crowdfunding campaign led by an Indian actor, payed for their last journey to the US. ‘Invisible Wings - how a tea-seller travelled the world’ follows Vijayan and Mohana on their inspiring travels. They are now back in their home in Kochi. The movie seeks to capture what travel can come to mean to different people and the power it can have over a person's life as a force for good.
