The mother went into labour towards the end of the flight, forcing it to divert to Alaska. Luckily for mother and baby, Dr Angelica Zen was on the flight returning from her honeymoon, and oversaw the safe delivery. The baby was born somewhere in midair over Anchorage, Alaska, so it's not clear whether it'll be an American citizen or not. Ms Zen told reporters that the baby was born when the majority of the flight was asleep, and that both mother and baby were in good health and happy.
