Dishonest taxi drivers caught out in Prague

More than one in three taxi drivers in Prague were found to be overcharging passengers, according to an inspection carried out on Monday.

In a bid to improve the reputation of Prague's taxi drivers, City Hall are ramping up their checks to improve standards across the city. But inspectors discovered that six of the 16 drivers who were checked at random were charging excessive fares. Officials are also working to pass new legislation aiming to reduce the number of illegal taxis in operation. Read more:
