Development plans for 'Death Railway' in Myanmar

There are plans to build a museum, park and tourist facilities at the site of the western end of the infamous ‘Death Railway’ in Thanbyuzayat, Myanmar. The Burma-Siam Railway, built by prisoners of war during WWII, extended more than 400km from Kanchanaburi in Thailand. About US$3 million is being invested in the project to develop the Thanbyuzayat site for visitors, with construction expected to begin next month. Read more: ttgasia.com
