Delta ends service to Dubai over subsidy concerns

Delta Airlines has cut its flight from Atlanta to Dubai citing an unfair advantage for “subsidized state-owned airlines” based in the Middle East.

The service will end effective 11 February 2016.

Delta has been at the head of an effort from American airlines to request the US government address the issue of purported subsidies to Gulf airlines, as the carriers believe it violates the Open Skies agreement that allows flights between the US and the Middle East, reports Forbes.
