‘Day of Rage’ called for in Jerusalem

Police are on high alert for clashes in Jerusalem today, after a week of escalating tensions. The Temple Mount compound, a focal point for protests in the city, was closed on Thursday for the first time in 14 years but then reopened for Friday prayers. In response to the closure, which prevented access to the Al Aqsa Mosque, Abbas’s Fatah movement called for a “day of rage” for Friday. Read more: theguardian.com
