David Bowie memorial mural design chosen for Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science
An architect from Wrocław has been chosen as the winner of a competition to create a mural in Warsaw in memory of the late David Bowie.
Dawid Celek's design incorporates the Polish capital's iconic Palace of Culture and Science into a portrait of the world-renowned singer. Bowie, who died on 10 January, penned a song entitled Warszawa for his album Low, about life in the city during the Cold War. The mural will be painted on an apartment block Żoliborz district and the project will be crowdfunded. Read more: thenews.pl
