Cuba to launch new cigar tours with Tobacco Trail

The Cuban Tourism Ministry has announced the opening of the Tobacco Trail, a series of new tours celebrating the country’s cigar-making heritage.

Scheduled to start in September, the tours will be taking place primarily in the province of Pinar del Rio and are designed to show visitors the inner workings of an industry that has been a source of national pride for centuries. Visitors on the tour will be able to visit factories and see the production cycle from beginning to end, starting with the farming of the plants and ending with distribution and marketing.
