Crowdfunding success for eco-tourism in Ukraine and Romania

Crowdfunding campaigns have recently contributed to the development of eco-tourism in two eastern European countries.

A tourist eco-trail in Romania’s Maramureş region will be completed by May 2016, and an eco-centre in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv is planned for spring as well. The Maramureş tourist trail is called ‘Footpath of stories’ and it will go through the Crăiască Forest (Princely Forest). The Kyiv eco-centre will be located in the city’s Botanical Gardens which get about 600,000 visitors a year, and it will host interactive exhibitions and kids’ programmes. Read more:
